This sculpture is a remake of a famous prop that gave Robin Hardy's cult movie its title: the film The Wicker Man (1974) is about a Scottish island which is ruled by a libertarian society organized around pagan rituals, with open acceptance of sexuality, nature worship, and even witchcraft.
