On this Sunday afternoon, Stichting Mesopotamië and West Den Haag join forces for a project on poetry against discrimination. What can we learn from one another by listening to each other’s poetry, even if we may not understand the language? This event brings together poets from seven countries and four continents: the Netherlands, Iraq, Syria, Morocco, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru. Together, they present a powerful program of poetry, music, and workshops, fully dedicated to combating racial discrimination. The afternoon also features two film screenings. After the program, there will be something to eat, free of charge. Keep an eye on this page for more information about the program, and make sure to register for free for this cultural event!
This event is part of Cultuurhaven, a project that seeks to build connections between West and the city of The Hague. Through various projects and events, West explores what is happening within different groups in the city and how our institution can be meaningful to them. Do you have a good idea for Cultuurhaven?
